Background

Zahra Kheirandish studied Mechanical Engineering at Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman. During her master's study, she focused on learning numerical heat transfer in different phenomena. As a master thesis, she investigated numerical studies of conjugated convective flows in channels containing heated obstacles with different geometries. After graduation, she continued her research on studying the spectral-finite-volume method on single- and dual-phase-lag conduction heat transfer. Finally, in 2020 she found her way to the NLD, and she is working there as a research assistant.

Areas of Focus

Her research area at NLD is based on integrating artificial intelligence techniques in the manufacturing process simulation. She is working on inverse solving of governing equations of laser processing utilizing artificial neural networks. She is going to develop an application that predicts the process parameters of a desired production goal.
